Bravo Company 443 CA BN Welcomed Home ? Civil Affairs ...

The 443d Civil Affairs Battalion welcomed home its Bravo Company at the Naval Station Newport Officer?s Club August 4th. Fifteen Bravo Company Soldiers and their families attended the ceremony. 443d Civil Affairs Battalion staff and alumni were also in attendance to welcome the Soldiers.

The Battalion Commander, LTC Anderson, congratulated the Company on performing so well in such an austere and dangerous environment stating ?it was a difficult, dangerous and so often thankless endeavor; but remember you were a part of something for which there was no quick fix.?
Bravo Company returned from mobilization from Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from May 2011 thru April 2012 .The ceremony was Bravo Company?s first Battle Assembly after their 90 day reintegration period.
Bravo Company supported the 3rd Brigade, 1st Armor Division and the US Army?s historic 10th Mountain Division during their time on the ground. The company expanded its footprint throughout the area of operations, continually building collaborative relationships with the Department of State, USAID, the Georgia Agricultural Development Team, and the Army Corps of Engineers.

At the midpoint of their tour, the Soldiers of Bravo Company had already earned 3 Purple Hearts, 2 recommendations for Bronze Star Medals for Valor and several Army Commendation Medals for Valor. Their tour is looked upon as one of historic precedence of valor. Bravo Company is now the most decorated Civil Affairs Company in its Battalion.

During the ceremony Captain Thomas Kenney was awarded the Bronze Star for his performance as a Civil Affair Team Chiefs. Captain Aaron Drombroski was also recognized with an Army Commendation Medal for his service as a Civil Affairs Team Chief.

The 443rd Civil Affairs Battalion resides on board Naval Station Newport in the Sgt. Michael Paranzino U.S. Army Reserve Center.
