COLLEGE PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- Prince George's County Police arrested 21-year-old Demonte Antonio Spearman on Wednesday for attempted robbery in College Park, officials said.?
Police say on Jan. 27, Spearman?approached?a man inside a common area of an apartment complex, located in the 8100 block of Baltimore Ave., and displayed what appeared to be a fake gun.?
Spearman demanded the man's laptop, who is a University of Maryland student, but the victim refused and attempted to fight the suspect off, police say.?
According to police, Spearman fled the scene when a witness came into the room and tried to break up the fight. No one was hurt.?
